Data analysis and migration plan
Almost every new site starts with data from a previous system. We analyse your data, map each field to our data structure, and outline possible problems and areas for data clean up. The outcome is a projected timeline and cost for data migration.
Customisation options
Common examples of customisation include data entry screens for specific collections, such as botanical specimens or motor vehicles, and calculated fields to alter the presentation of data for reports. No two collections are the same, which is why we would like to take the time to get to know what you want to achieve.

Once we have a handle on where you are and where you want to be we can create a detailed quote.
Timetable agreed
Once the quote has been accepted we move into a project management phase. To make sure that expectations are clear we will agree on a timeline.
Data migration
At the agreed time, we ask you to freeze data entry in your current system and send your collection data to us for migration to Vernon CMS.
Onsite installation and training
Once the data has been migrated and any customisation completed, Vernon CMS software is ready for installation. One of our trainers will be onsite for a two-day basic training course.
Ongoing support
Included in your purchase is the first year’s Support Agreement. This provides for comprehensive support by phone or email, extensive help documentation and access to our Customer Support Portal.
Annual support agreement
You have the option of renewing the Support Agreement in subsequent years. This includes all the benefits of our extensive support along with all software upgrades.
