Enhanced process management
Vernon Activities complements the Cataloguing module by providing additional process management functionality. It allows you to control and document collection management activities at your organisation, such as acquisitions and loans. With all your collections information in one place, it is easier for multiple staff involved in a project to access and update these records.
There is also the ability to see at a glance all of the activities that a particular object is linked to, helping with conflict checking and scheduling.
Multiple Object records can be linked to a single activity record, making it easier to perform tasks in bulk, such as updating a group of proposed acquisitions to accessioned status. You can link to associated digital files and attach any relevant multimedia references, such as photographs. For each activity, you can define tasks which can then be scheduled and assigned. You can also record and calculate costings for particular tasks and activities. All of this information is fully searchable and can be exported for reporting purposes. Forms and letters, and emails can also be generated from Activities.

Activities files
The Activities module consists of 14 data files, each recording detailed information about a particular collection management activity. Activity records can be managed as separate functions, or they can be linked to each other to reflect interrelationships. For example, an Inward Loan record can be linked to an Exhibition record, or a Transport/Movement record can be linked to an outward loan.
