We are very happy to have been able to support Tairāwhiti Museum as they publish their collection.

The new website includes both te reo Māori and English in the main navigation options.

You can see the translations in the main menu. Here the standard navigation terms include their Māori equivalent below. These translations were supplied by staff from Tairawhiti Museum.

The dropdown menu under the Explore Hōpara section has also been translated. This sub-menu offers additional navigation options to the website visitor with links to the seven sections available on the Explore page. Featured Collections – Pae Kohikohinga, Highlights from our collection – Pae Whakaemi, Search – Rapa, Explore by Colour – Hōpara ā-tae, Explore by object type – Hōpara ā-momo taonga, and Explore by subject category – Hōpara ā-momo kaupapa.

The department names in the collections records have also been translated into te reo.
