Dusky Dolphin – Vernon CMS 12.4 released

We are excited to share our new version release with you. Vernon CMS clients can now upgrade to Dusky Dolphin 12.4.

12.4 New Features

New Accessories and Consumables windows

Accessories

Keep track of companion items for your collection objects. For example, frames, plinths, projectors, or custom mounts. You can add measurements, locations, identification numbers, production details and more.

Consumables

Record details about consumable items (e.g. lightbulbs or oil filters). Track at object level when each consumable item was last replaced, and when the replacement is due. The consumable authority file lets you record in even greater detail about that type of item.

Improvements to XML Import

Get Element Headings

Copy your headings from the XML import spreadsheet into your XML configuration with the Get Element Headings button.

Screen Changes

You no longer have to click into the Record Tag and Root Element fields to run your import.

Validation

Validate your dates while importing with XML import. You can also validate your accession numbers (optional).

New Fields

• Language and Community authority fields for person.
• Technical information table for an object (e.g. wattage or voltage).
• Reference field for a task, e.g. reference for electrical testing.
