2018 in review
We hope that 2018 has been as successful for you as it has for us. We have been working harder than ever to keep up with all the work, and have even taken on new staff.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new collections who have chosen this year to get started with Vernon CMS.
We also want to thank those who have been with us for longer. We have spent time working beside many of you this year on some exciting projects.
We wish you have Happy New Year and are looking forward to doing great things together in 2019.
Version 12
Busy Bellbird (version 12) of Vernon CMS is going through final testing. We’re holding off releasing this until the New Year as we want to make sure we’re back in the office to help sites with the upgrade.
The most noticeable change is the improved user interface. We have updated the toolbars within the system to use the same set of single colour icons (Font Awesome) used in many web products and in eHive and Vernon Browser. The main toolbar now has larger buttons for easier use on touch screens, and the toolbar includes better groups and help labels.
The new Bulk Update tool allows you to update any combination of fields on any set of records. This new tool replaces the old Text Update tool (now simplified to be only a Find and Replace tool).
Many minor enhancements are included, such as recording multiple credit lines for an object and reporting on person records by date of death when identifying material that is now out of copyright.
We also want to thank those who have been with us for longer. We have spent time working beside many of you this year on some exciting projects.
