We recently had a question on our users’ forum asking for advice on cataloguing a smartphone app. Here are some general tips about cataloguing born-digital objects, as well as some notes on multimedia material that you might only have in analogue form (such as reels of film).
The new Farnsworth Art Museum collection microsite
Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland has a collection of approximately 15,000 works focuses on American art from the 18th century to the present. Of these works, over 5,000 are searchable on the museum’s collection database using our Vernon Browser module.

Microsites: A quick cost-effective way to publish a fully-featured online collection site
We have developed the Browser module to allow for extensive customisation. Our Browser templates have built-in support for common online collections features. For most sites we host the Vernon Browser web server, managing maintenance and updates.
