Will you have access to Vernon CMS if a key staff member leaves your organisation?
If no one has a supervisor account, you won’t have access to some important functions in Vernon, such as creating new users or changing user access. Some processes or files may be inaccessible. If only one person was using Vernon, you may not be able to access the system at all.
We don’t have access to your accounts or passwords, so it’s important you manage them well.
- Ensure there is always more than one person with a supervisor account. For single-user systems, a senior person (such as a manager, director, or board member) should keep a record of the password for the COLLECT account so they can provide the details to the new employee or volunteer.
- Include confirmation of the COLLECT account password as part of the handover process when someone leaves, along with keys and access codes for buildings.
- If you are the person leaving, ensure the COLLECT account has supervisor access and that a suitable person knows the password for this account.
If you do find yourself unable to access your system or security settings, check with the former staff member. If unsuccessful, contact us as soon as possible.
